Truck Cab Mattress

We offer three materials from which you can make your truck cab mattress. For a basic truck cab mattress, we recommend our high resiliency (HR) Everflex polyurethane foam if you’re going to spend more than 2–3 nights at a time out on the road. If it’s just for an occasional night, you can get away with our less-expensive (and less dense) Econoflex polyurethane foam. We offer 3 firmness options for each of these, and generally recommend medium firmness (V44) as long as your mattress is between 3–5 inches thick. If it’s thicker you should consider our less firm V34, and if it’s less than 3 inches you’ll probably want our firmer V54 foam. Your second option is much more comfortable, and organic, latex foam. We offer six firmness options, and you should select the firmness that matches your personal sleeping preference from soft to firm. Finally, we offer memory foam mattress options as well, but always recommend that you put a base layer of polyurethane foam below 1–2 inches of memory foam.

If your truck cab mattress has an odd shape, or needs custom cut-outs to fit in your cab, follow the order process on our website, select “Pattern Shape,” and enter the (rough) dimensions of the mattress. At the end of the process we’ll tell you how to mail your pattern to us. To make the pattern, start with a large piece of paper, or plastic, and a Sharpie or other marker, to trace the exact shape you’ll need. Taping several pieces of paper together is fine. Next, trace the exact shape of the cab mattress, and write important details on the pattern like the thickness of the mattress, and where the zippers go if you’re going to order a mattress cover for your truck cab mattress. A custom pattern-shape cab mattress usually takes 2 weeks after we receive your pattern if it doesn’t include a sewn cover. If it does include a cover, it will likely take 4–6 weeks.
