EVA Foam is a firm closed-cell foam with a softer, more rubbery feel than our polyethylene (cross-poly) offering. Its surface squishes down when you press your fingers into it, quickly bouncing right back into place. The firm structure and UV resistance of EVA foam makes it a great material for outdoor applications, and it is also popular for use as a Cosplay material. It weighs 2 lbs/ft³, and is commonly used for products like decking on boats, surfboards, knee pads, helmet padding, insulating hot tubs, shin guards, and exercise mats.
We’ll cut your EVA Foam to accommodate your needs. Whether you’re searching for EVA simple square pieces or custom pattern shapes, you can select any of the options below.
NOTE: Due to the nature of this specialized foam, we cannot cut custom sizes in some dimensions. We are unable to cut cylinders and wedges deeper than 2 inches.
EVA foam’s sturdy—and rubbery—makeup creates a safe, protective lining for helmets, knee pads, shin guards and more. It acts as a shock absorber and padding for a variety of athletic equipment. As a UV-resistant, waterproof and durable material, EVA foam is also well suited to outdoor usage in products like surfboard pads, boat deck mats and hot tub insulation.
For cosplayers looking to simulate the looks of their favorite characters, EVA foam presents an easy-to-work-with option for armor and other costume creations. Lightweight, easy to cut and UV resistant, EVA foam has become an essential material for cosplay projects.

EVA stands for Ethylene-Vinyl Acetate, also sometimes referred to as PEVA (for poly ethylene-vinyl acetate). EVA is a soft form of rubbery foam, similar in firmness to a yoga mat, but a bit less spongy. EVA is often valued for its soft feel, strength in low-temperature environments, and resistance to cracking. It is also UV-resistant so can last a long time in applications that are exposed to sunlight. EVA can sometimes have an odor described as vinegary, which usually dissipates if used outdoors or exposed to air. The EVA we carry at FoamOrder is usually gray in color, comes in sheet form (40 × 80 inches), and comes in a variety of thicknesses from 1/8" (3 mm), up to 4" (98 mm).
Full EVA foam sheets in new condition may be returned (subject to a 25% restocking fee). Unfortunately, custom-cut pieces and cut yardage cannot be returned.
