Outdoor wicker furniture that is exposed to rain and sun should always use outdoor, reticulated, open-cell foam. This foam drains quickly and thoroughly, eliminating the presence of mold and mildew on your outdoor furniture. We offer three firmness options (soft, medium, firm), and usually recommend medium or firm for seating cushions, and soft for back cushions.
FoamOrder recommends dacron batting for wicker furntiure cushions, as well as other outdoor cushion uses. Dacron batting doesn’t interfere with the proper drainage of wicker furniture cushions, and gives your cushions a fuller look and a bit of extra comfort. It also makes it easier to get your foam into and out of the covers, which is helpful if you’re going to wash your cushion covers (as we recommend).
