Frequently Asked Bar Stool Cushion Questions

Which foam and thickness is best for Barstool Cushions?

Bar stool cushions are usually only 1–2 inches thick, and usually require a high resiliency foam that can last a long time. As a result, we recommend our Everflex V54 for firm bar stool cushions, and V44 for medium-firm bar stool cushions.

Should I order dacron (polyester) batting for my bar stool cushions?

Bar stool cushions often do not require dacron batting. While we generally do recommend batting to give seat cushions a fuller, more luxurious look (not to mention a more padded and comfortable feel), it’s not always necessary for a bar stool cushion. Just be aware that without dacron batting, your cushion will be more “squared off” and look a little less padded and full than it would with batting. Also, the thinner the cushion (2 inches or less) the more that batting will help it provide a little extra cushion that might make your bar stool cushion more comfortable.

Just like new.
“Replaced the saggy old cushions in our 2003 American Leather sofa and loveseat. I think we paid $7000 for the pair back then. The leather is still perfect, but the cushions were flattened and the down filled wrap had torn and was leaking feathers everywhere. we went couch shopping and found that to buy couches of similar quality, it would cost us almost $20k. Yikes! Decided to give cushion replacement a try, but couldn't find a local upholstery shop that wanted the job. Jumped on Google and found foamorder.com. The cushions were pretty pricey for foam and feathers (About $1000 for 5 large cushions). Super easy to order, turnaround in 3 weeks or so. After vacuuming feathers for hours, we got the couches reassembled and they look and feels like new again! We saved $12k with a little bit of effort on our part, We couldn't be more satisfied! We just ordered more cushions for to replace the floppy misshapen back cushions for another sofa and loveseat- can't wait to see the transformation again!”
