A tri-fold foam mattress folds into three sections instead of two, making it more compact and easier to store in tight spaces. Compared to bi-fold designs, tri-folds are typically shorter when folded, which makes them ideal for closets, under-bed storage, or packing in a car for travel. The three-panel construction also adds flexibility for various configurations—some customers even use them as temporary seating or folded loungers during the day.
When folded, a tri-fold mattress typically compresses to one-third of its full length. For example, a Queen size tri-fold mattress folds down to approximately 26 inches long, maintaining its original width and thickness. This compact folded size makes it easy to store in small closets, under beds, or transport in the trunk of a car. Actual folded dimensions vary slightly depending on foam thickness and size selected.
The best thickness and firmness depend on your body weight, comfort preferences, and intended use. Lighter individuals (under 130 lbs) may prefer a 3"–4" soft or medium tri-fold mattress, while heavier sleepers may need a thicker, firmer option (6"–8") for adequate support. Tri-fold mattresses are available in both high-resiliency foam (Everflex) and conventional foam (Econoflex), with ILD-rated firmness levels from soft to extra firm. Selecting the right combination ensures balanced comfort and durability without bottoming out.
Each Tri-Fold Foam Mattress is built with a two-layer cover system – an internal fire barrier for safety and a removable outer cover for everyday use.
✔ Internal Fire Barrier:
To meet safety standards, all tri-fold mattresses include a permanently sewn-in fire-resistant liner. This stretch-knit fabric is composed of Modacrylic, fiberglass, and polyester and is securely stitched around the foam with no zipper or opening.
✔ Removable Outer Cover:
For comfort and protection, each mattress is finished with a zippered fabric cover made from a durable 65% polyester / 35% cotton blend. This cover is offered in four color options: Beige, Black, Charcoal Gray, and Midnight Navy.
✔ Design & Fit:
Covers are custom-sized to match the dimensions of the mattress and include a full-length zipper for easy removal.
✔ Washing & Care:
Machine wash on a gentle cycle using warm water and mild detergent. Do not use bleach or fabric softeners. Air dry or tumble dry low as needed.
This two-part cover setup ensures your mattress is both compliant with fire safety requirements and easy to maintain.
Warranty Term: 15-Year Limited Warranty, prorated after 7.5 years
Coverage:
Warranted against visible indentations exceeding 1" under normal use
If an indentation occurs within the first 7.5 years, you receive full credit toward a replacement
After 7.5 years, the warranty is prorated based on usage time
