Storage Bed - Bosun Deluxe
Our Storage Bed (see picture at right) features a natural rice tatami mat on top of the storage bed. The tatami mat is very firm, heavy, and it is two inches thick. These Asian rice mats are sold separately. You don't need them unless you want that particular look.
Storage beds are a comfortable 15.25" high. This bed is made of a solid Indonesian hardwood called Ramen. It's a very sturdy bed. The slats are designed to support our foam mattresses but can be used with your mattress. This storage bed comes with a pair of drawers. The side opposite the drawers is a solid wood panel. You have the option to order a second set of drawers—this set will replace the solid wood side, so you'll have a set of two drawers on both sides of the bed. (Please see the "Extra drawer availability" chart below.) These beds only ship on a pallet.
The Bosun Storage Deluxe is available in all sizes and a variety of finishes.

King size note: The King size in Black finish measures 72"x81.5", which requires you to purchase either the tatami mats or a piece of 2" firm foam to fill in the space where the tatamis rest—or you will have to purchase a custom mattress, which we can easily make (see our Foam Mattress, Latex Mattress, or Memory Foam Mattress sections). The 2" foam filler is made of EconoFlex™ C55 foam, which is a good firm foam.

Marine Bedroom Collection (Storage Style)
The Marine collection takes storage beds to a whole new level of function and contemporary style. With four drawers—two on each side of the bed—there is ample storage space. Crafted using precision German glides and hardware. The drawers are all full-extension. Solid sturdy construction makes each piece heavy and durable. Frame requires assembly while all dressers are already assembled.
This set comes in an open-grain, dark-stain Oak veneer finish. For a best finish color match with this bed, choose the furniture pictured in this collection.

Del Ray Storage Bed
Crafted with precision German glides and hardware (steel ball bearing gliders), this collection will last. The bed is counterbalanced for easy opening despite the weight of a mattress. There is ample space in this storage bed. The frame requires assembly while all dressers are already assembled.

Balboa Storage Bed
Clean lines feature well in this bold and stylish storage bed frame. The 4-drawer system in this frame is built for solid reliability. The individual drawers are a strong interior of 9-stratum laminate finished to match the exterior wood, mounted on 14" full extension ball-bearing Glide Rails. What the pictures don't show is how smoothly the drawers operate and the quality of construction of the entire frame.
This frame is fashioned from thick solid oak hardwood veneer, tinted with either an Espresso (a soft black) or Antique Mahogany Stain, and carefully finished with a layered clear medium gloss coating to protect the warmth and character of the grain. The time consuming craftsmanship and thick wood used to make this frame create greater inherent value, hence the higher cost. The grain of this wood is very defined and the pictures don't do the beautiful finish justice. The espresso is a truly rich brown or dark walnuty color.
