Platform Beds - Our PLEASE NOTE: Assembly is required. For customers living in the San Francisco Bay Area and New York City and surrounding areas, assembly may be available. Also, this bed is shipped on a pallet to the curbside of your apartment building/lobby or house. The boxes are heavy and require two people to safely move them. (A $20 bill will most likely sweet talk the driver to help you carry them inside, or have a friend handy when the delivery shows up.)
The night stands attached at the bed's sides are sold separately. The night stands in the top picture don't have drawers, but a night stand with drawer is available ... see image at right. The night stands without drawers can only be used with the Contempo bed, while the night stands with drawers can be used with any other bed. The Show Mirror accents this set perfectly. The leaning Texas Mirrors, like everything in Texas, are big. Lean them against the wall in your foyer or bedroom (these are not free-standing mirrors). The Sunset bed is a slat platform bed made of Ramen, a hardwood from Indonesia. The unique cross-grain corner joints make this bed the easiest to assemble (assembly is required on all pieces). Captain Bed - Bosun DeluxeOur Captains Bed (see picture at right) features a natural rice tatami mat on top, which is two inches thick, quite heavy, and firm. These stylish mats are sold separately and are not a necessary part of the bed. You can purchase them on their own, This bed is an ideal 15.25" high. It is made of Ramen, a hardwood from Indonesia. The slats are two inches lower than the surface of the bed and will snugly hold your mattress in place. This captain's bed comes with two drawers. The side opposite the drawers is solid wood. Double your storage space by ordering a second set of drawers—this set will replace the solid wood side, so you'll have a set of two drawers on both sides of the bed. (Please see the "Extra drawer availability" chart below.) These beds can ship via UPS.
The Bosun Deluxe is available in four sizes: twin, full, queen, and king. They come in either a Natural (light), Golden Oak (light), Honey Oak (medium), Antique Mahogany (darker), or Black finish. The Mod Platform Bed Collection features a contemporary design highlighted by modern simplicity. Similar to the Contempo Platform Bed, this frame exemplifies the same clean looks but is without the side border along the rails. If you like the Contempo but are wrestling with space constraints, then the Mod Platform Bed is the frame for you. Also manufactured in Portugal, it is made from genuine American Beech wood veneer, which is applied to dense fiberboard and then stained in a wengé finish. The Mod night tables are sold separately. Two possibilities are available: a C-shaped night table with wheels, or a freestanding night table with two drawers for added storage. The Mod 4-Drawer Dresser can be complemented perfectly by a standing Show Mirror, or, to achieve the appearance of a bigger room, use the freestanding leaning Texas Mirror. The Contempo Collection's single-drawer Night Stand, 5-Drawer Dresser (tall), and 6-Drawer Dresser (wide) also match this collection. The Diego Bed has a very natural look. It has an ideal design for creating a clean, uncluttered atmosphere in your bedroom. To maintain this look, we recommended using a low profile mattress, preferably no thicker than 8". We recommend our 6" Firm Talalay Latex Mattress with our Diamond Quilted mattress cover, which provides you with great posture support and a cool, breathable material.
